I have received the information below:
Good afternoon,
West Yorkshire Combined Authority are pleased to announce the launch of the Leeds Core Bus Network!

The new Leeds Core Bus Network is a new colour-coded network which will help users navigate the Leeds bus network with ease. New network maps will include named and coloured bus lines to help you find which bus you need to take to get from A to B. The maps will be at most bus stops along the Core Network and available online, making planning your journey around Leeds much simpler.
We are working closely with bus operators and journey planners like Google and Moovit to integrate the new lines into their app. Buses also display the names of the lines on the front destination screens and announce stop names and line names using the on-board Audio Visual announcements.
Over 600 stops on six bus lines have been completed to-date, with the remaining stops due for completion by the end of October 2021. The project also includes applying Leeds Core Bus Network designs to 400 new battery powered real-time screens across Leeds.
The funding for the Leeds Core Bus Network project has been secured from Government as part of an overall allocation of £173.5 million from the Department for Transport, plus local contributions topping this investment for transport improvements in Leeds up to £183.4 million. With match funding from local bus operating companies investment in their fleet and other contributions this increases the overall funding package to £270 million. The initiative is part of the long-term Connecting Leeds transport strategy, which aims to improve all aspects of the transport network in the city and connectivity with the wider Leeds City Region.
The West Yorkshire Core Bus Network project has an allocation of £15.5m as part of the Transforming Cities Fund. The West Yorkshire Combined Authority will work with partners to make improvements to bus stops and shelters on key routes across West Yorkshire. The project includes:
• Improving information at bus stops and shelters by providing more real-time information screens and better signage of the core bus network.
• Rolling out a new colour-coded system for bus lines and developing a series of new maps with the newly coloured bus names and lines.
• Delivering a package of marketing, communications and behaviour change initiatives that encourage sustainable travel methods (such as public transport, walking and cycling) across the TCF programme and wider as we recovery from COVID-19.
