I was born in Scotland in 1960 and I am married to Cllr Caroline Anderson. We live in Cookridge. I am a keen follower of Hibernian FC (Hibs) and I am also a member of Yorkshire County Cricket Club. I enjoy playing golf, listening to classical music and watching sport.
I was first elected to Leeds City Council in 1999 for what was then the Cookridge Ward. After boundary reorganisations in 2004 I was elected to what is now the Adel & Wharfedale Ward.
