I have been sent the information below and attached in respect of a new tree planting site just off Quarry Farm Road. This is what the Woodland Creation Team have advised:
New woodland – Quarry Farm Road is planned for 24/25 planting season.
Consultation will take place with residents moving to public consultation on Common Place platform launching on the 29th July. Quarry Farm Road was provided by Asset Management to explore for Woodland Creation. The lands previous use is for grazing, with the licence due to expire this year. This site will require an Environmental Impact Assessment and will go through a thorough design process.
Dear Councillor
Thank you to all who shared the potential sites survey earlier on in the year, as well as councillors who brought us new schemes to consider. We have received so many suggestions from residents this year due to the new survey method, which was a great engagement method that we will certainly be using again next year.
We are now at the stage where Commonplace has gone live for public consultation. (Deadline for comments is 16/09/2024) - Have Your Say Today - Leeds Woodland Creation 2024 - Commonplace
We will be writing to local residents whose properties are near tree planting proposals over the coming days to gain their views. We’ll be displaying QR code posters again at potential sites to link people up to the survey, as well as getting in touch with any other identified stake holders/community groups.
