I have received an update to the note below:
"NPG experienced technical problems with the isolation of the 33kV overhead cables off today so this associated work will need to run into tomorrow. Once again the work will start after the morning peak and will be carried out under Stop/Go traffic management. Our observations today showed very limited disruption to traffic in the vicinity.
As happened today, Network Management and the Traffic Signals team will monitor the situation and updates will be provided if necessary."
I have received the note below:
"I am writing to inform you that Northern Power Grid (NPG) are carrying out urgent works on the A660 Leeds Road just east of the Dyneley Arms junction. The work is to remove tree branches that are too close to the 33kV overhead power lines. They are taking advantage of a planned/managed shut-down of the cables to ensure safety of the operatives.
In order to carry out the works safely there will be Stop/Go traffic management past the work area on Monday 8th January between 09.30 and 15.00hrs only. NPG’s contractors will endeavour to minimise the impact on traffic during the works.
Network Management and the Traffic Signals team will monitor the situation and updates will be provided if necessary.

Principal Engineer
Network Management"
