Please find below links to 4 applications from the Airport for Certificates of Existing Lawful Development in relation to previous planning applications from 2007. The applications are in relation to seeking exemptions from aircraft quota counts including for night time flying and landing for delayed and emergency aircraft. The links will take you to the council’s planning portal but there are no documents lodged for any of these applications and due to the type of application no comments can be made on the portal.
The portal contains the following message: “In respect of CLE and CLP type applications ONLY, the planning merits of the use, operation or activity are not relevant to the application. The issue or refusal of a certificate depends entirely on factual evidence about the history and planning status (proposed use) of the building or other land. The responsibility is on the applicant to provide sufficient evidence to support the application for the authority to consider and this is not subject to consultation.”
