Permanent road closure of Coal Road
Notice of permanent closure of Coal Road, located between the A58 and Skeltons Lane.
The closure is necessary to link Junction 2, A58 roundabout to Junction 3, Skeltons Lane Roundabout.
Skeltons Lane is closed temporarily until the end of August 2021 to allow construction of the new Junction 3, at the Skeltons Lane roundabout.

What's next?
Skeltons Lane is planned to reopen following roundabout construction at the end of August. Once Skeltons Lane is opened Thorner Lane will permanently close from just past the entrance to the Cemetery to the junction on the junction with A64.
