Please find below and attached information regarding new bollards to be erected in front of the parade of shops on Otley Road between Greenfield Court and the Dastaan restaurant. These were requested due to the driver behaviour around this junction:
"Dear Cllr Anderson,
Please see attached a proposal to install 6x bollards along the frontage in question. These bollards will be a rebound type, which are designed to return to their position and shape after being struck by a vehicle, which should hopefully reduce the future maintenance burden in the event of these being clipped. I am aware that some of the bollards by Woodends are a little out of place because of their rigid nature.
I am clarifying costings with the depot and once confirmed over the next few days, a full order will be placed. I would anticipate installation later in October, possibly early November dependent on lead times for the bollards themselves."
