I have received the information below:
StreetSafe: Have you ever felt unsafe in an area of West Yorkshire?
Have you ever felt unsafe in an area of West Yorkshire?
You might have been going to the shop, to study or walking back from work and find yourself feeling unsafe.
There might be a street in your area which does not have adequate lighting when it gets dark or there may be an abandoned building that has been vandalised.
It may also be that you were subject to anti-social behaviour such as verbal abuse.
The StreetSafe tool is here to help put a stop to this.
The tool allows you to anonymously report areas where you feel unsafe.
It enables members of the public to anonymously pinpoint public places on a map where they have felt or feel unsafe and identify environmental or behavioural factors about those locations that make them feel this way.
Introduced by the Home Office, the online tool is a quick and simple way to allow West Yorkshire Police to use the data gathered to inform our partner agencies and work with local authorities to make these areas safer.
It allows your voice to be heard and gives us a clear idea of matters that are happening in the area that you live.
The tool will ask you a few simple questions, which will only take a short amount of time to complete.
To use the tool, please visit: StreetSafe | Police.uk (www.police.uk).
StreetSafe is not for reporting crime or incidents. To report a crime, you can contact us via the 101LiveChat function on the website www.westyorkshire.police.uk/101LiveChat or by calling us on 101 or 999 in an emergency.
