I have been sent this from the Senior Highways Engineer at the Council:
"On January 6th Yorkshire Water will begin essential sewer maintenance works on Pool Bank New Road between the The Swallows and the entrance to Pool Bank Farm.
The current estimated date for the completion of the works is March 12th.
The location of the sewer and associated chambers means that 2 way traffic lights will be required to manage traffic safely around the work sites and will remain in place for the duration of the works.
Pool Bank New Road is a highly traffic sensitive location so significant disruption should be expected, especially during the peak hours.
The lights will be manually operated 7am – 7pm so that the queues can be managed efficiently.
Advanced warning signs have been place on site to alert regular road users and I will ask out Urban Traffic Control team to update the various electronic messaging signs in the area to alert the wider travelling public."
