The latest Ward Crime update is below:
Notes/Trends:
- Burglary Residential (6) – 5 of the 6 burglaries took place within the Holt Park area, and the remaining one was in Adel. One offence involved a garage door’s lock being cut, to steal motorcycles from within. I have attached a leaflet with some crime prevention advice for motorcycle owners. There are no obvious links between the other offences, to the extent that we can provide a specific crime prevention advice sheet.
- Other Theft (3) – All 3 of these incidents involved parcels either being stolen from doorsteps or not being delivered. I would suspect this will unfortunately be common across not just the force area, but nationally in the run-up to Christmas. The locations were Dunstarn Gardens, New Adel Lane & Otley Road. My advice to residents would be to invest in CCTV such as video doorbells and/or get parcels delivered to collection points rather than home addresses. If any offences are caught on CCTV, NPT Officers can look to identify the offenders.
- ASB (3) – ASB Continues to fall after the Halloween & bonfire period. If any residents report ASB to you, please encourage them to make an official report via 101 and 101 live chat so that it shows within our district-wide figures, as this can influence where we prioritise our patrols.
