"I would like to draw your attention to a new scheme we are introducing from Highways.
You will now be able to now borrow a Speed Indication Device (SID) for your community to use and to track areas of concern.
A SID will show the speed of vehicles as they approach and display a smiley face to the driver if they are adhering to the speed limit, or a frowning face if they are speeding.
The device is rented for 7 days at a time for use in as many locations in the local area as interested in. Training and other resources will be provided.
Recognised community groups such as a tenant or resident association, or a parish or town council members should contact [email protected] to borrow the equipment."
