Please find below the latest Community Alert highlighting speeding offences dealt with in our area between 14th and 17th June:
Speed Checks over the last few days
Over the last few days, NPT Officers have been carrying out speed checks on roads identified by yourselves as areas of concern.
Pool:
Main Street - 9x Tickets with the highest at 39mph.
Pool Bank New Road - 3x Tickets with the highest at 52mph.
Adel:
Otley Road - 6x Tickets with the highest at 63mph in a 40mph.
Bramhope:
Leeds Road - 2x Tickets with the highest at 50mph. Both vehicles were also found to have no insurance. Both drivers have received court summons.
Guiseley:
Hawksworth Lane - 1x Ticket at 31mph in a 20mph.
Oxford Road - 1x Ticket for using a handheld device
Our monitoring work is carried out to educate drivers on safe speeds. The speeds shown above (some at almost double the speed limit) fall well below what is expected of a careful and considerate driver.
Speeding is raised as a concern by residents at several of our area PACT meetings & we will therefore continue to tackle dangerous driving in our NPT area.
