I have been in correspondence with the Refuse Collection service in respect of the collections during the major road works on Old Pool Bank to ensure that successful collections can take place. Please find below the response from the service. The map referred to is attached. If you know anyone who lives on this stretch or in Willow Court, Chapel Hill Road etc. please pass this information on to them:
"Dear Councillor Anderson,
This is collected by Farms 2. The section having roadworks undertaken is a very narrow. The Team Leader called out Wednesday and looked into the issue and feels the crew can enter and turn round so collections should be able to be undertaken for the majority of properties.
She has spoken with the crew and will be leaving a memo for Monday’s collection so hopefully we will have successful collections Monday.
The section in yellow shows how the wagon can access from Pool Bank, drive up and turn just before the roadworks and collect as they drive back down.
The blue section show where the road closure is situated which our wagon would not be able to access."
