Please find below information that may be of interest to you and a link to a website where you can make suggestions on where the Council could plant more trees:
Dear Councillors,
We are currently in the planning stages of identifying suitable locations for tree planting across Leeds, and we would greatly appreciate your input and suggestions.
Your local knowledge is instrumental in helping us identify the best spots for planting trees to maximise their impact on the community and the environment.
We have created a new platform where colleagues, ward councillors, the public and partners can fill in a quick survey to make suggestions for potential tree planting sites.
SUGGEST POTENTIAL SITES HERE
The new platform creates an easy and accessible format for suggestions to come into the Woodland Creation Team. There are a few simple questions and the ability to drop a pin on a map for the exact location, which allows for a more consistent approach for the team receiving suggestions. The closing date for suggestions is 31/05/2024 allowing us enough time to carry out all the due diligence, mapping, consultation and design before the next planting season starts.
We encourage you to share this link with your local community, so they can explore their neighbourhood and surrounding areas to identify potential tree planting locations. If/when they find somewhere, please get them to share it with us by filling in the survey above and plotting a pin on the map.
Thank you for your continued support for Woodland Creation.
Best wishes,
The Woodland Creation Team
