I have recently been chasing up specific issues with Miller Homes that residents have raised with me in respect of the Public Open Space (POS) on the estate and fencing complaints. Set out below is the reply I have received from Planning Enforcement. If you have other issues not covered by this update can you please email me on [email protected] rather than using social media platforms e.g. Facebook Messenger/X (formerly Twitter) etc. Email will reach me quickly:
"Dear Councillor
Case 22/00236/NCP3 - Compliance check: condition 17 (Spring Wood buffer zone) under approval 17/02312/RM
24/00888/NCP3 Check on landscaping – New Complaint received. (POS area near plots 104-107)
You have asked about the above site following complaints from some constituents.
I have been awaiting the developers to come back to me on a few aspects of the site. As you are aware they have finished the main housing development and should be working on the landscaping. The majority of the works to the buffer zone have been done, albeit an issue with plots 41 and 42 at the front of the site near Creskeld lane, although they seem to think that they have put a fence up at 42 and planted it and they are awaiting to hear back from there customer services team about plot 41, who seem to have some sort of civil issue with the developer about the land title.
The remainder of the site POS I’m awaiting dates as to the completion and will come back to you on this.
It appears that the POS area on the attached map and near plots 104-107 put the knee high rail to close to the edge of the road which would of prevented a hedge being planted and they have now stated as below:-
We are aware of the knee rail fence issue adjacent to plots 104 to 107. We are just awaiting costs being approved to get this moved. Should be done over the next couple of weeks with the planting to follow on after
