Flood WARNINGS received for the following catchments:
River Aire at Esholt and Apperley Bridge
River Aire at Allerton Ings, Barnsdale Road and Properties
Oil Mill Beck at Horsforth Woodside
River Aire at Neptune Street - Canal and River Trust car park
Tidal River Ouse from Naburn Lock to Selby
RET & FRM are in contact with the Environment Agency and continuing to monitor the situation

ENVIRONMENT AGENCY – FLOOD GUIDANCE STATEMENT UPDATE
Friday 20th - Saturday 21 Oct 2023
The Environment Agency have updated their flood risk statement, the flood risk areas have increased and pushed out till Monday 23 Oct.
Leeds Metropolitan District is included in risk area's A,B & C on the Specific area's of concern map on Friday to Saturday and the eastern area of the district on Sunday & Monday.
The overall flood risk for England and Wales for the next five days is MEDIUM.
Rivers
Severe River flooding impacts possible in parts of the north of England and East Midlands today and into Saturday. See Areas of Concern Maps.
Significant river flooding impacts are probable across parts of the north of England on Friday and Saturday and possible more widely across parts of England and Wales. This is due to persistent and heavy rain affecting these areas.
Significant ongoing river flooding impacts are also possible in parts of north east England into Sunday and Monday. See Areas of Concern Maps.
River responses are also expected to continue into Sunday and Monday, more widely across parts of England and Wales.
Where river responses do continue minor impacts are possible, but not expected.
Surface water
Significant surface water flooding impacts are probable across parts of the north of England on Friday and Saturday and possible more widely across other parts of England and Wales. See Areas of Concern Map.
Impacts could include localised flooding from urban and fast responding smaller watercourses/catchments, drains, channels and flooding from overland flow.
Leeds Flood Risk Management Team are working with their contractors to identify and clear any high priority grids throughout the city and are monitoring river levels closely and is in contact with the EA receiving regular updates.
The RET Duty Officer is monitoring the situation and will update with any warnings, should they be issued OR update following a forecast review
