NPT Road safety work over the past fortnight
Keeping the local roads safe for everyone is one of our main priorities, as requested by our communities. Over the last few weeks, here's some of the work NPT Officers done to keep the roads safe.
Speed checks on:
- Pool Main Street: 1x Speeding ticket (29mph in a 20mph zone)
- Otley Road, Adel (40): 5x Speeding tickets between 55 & 66mph.
- Otley Road, Adel (30): 1x Speeding ticket at 45mph.
- Queensway, Yeadon: no speeding seen, thank you 
- Hawksworth Lane, Hawksworth: 1x Warning given
- Pool Bank New Road: 2x Speeding tickets (51 & 49mph in a 30mph zone).
- Victoria Avenue, Yeadon: 1x Speeding ticket issued (53mph in a 40mph zone).
- 16x Tickets issued for obstruction of pavements.
- 1x Driver charged with driving whilst over the prescribed limit of alcohol.
- 3x Tickets for driving without due care and attention.
- 2x Ticket for Driver not in proper control.
- 1x Ticket for having no insurance.
- 1x Ticket for using a handheld device whilst driving.
- 1x Ticket for parking on a zebra crossing.
- Recovery of a stolen vehicle in Horsforth.
- 1x Vehicle seized for having no tax, insurance & obstructing a footpath.
- 6x Tickets for contravention of signage - No Right Turn (4x into Morrisons Guiseley & 2x at Whitehouse Lane, Yeadon).
