At Wednesday evening’s AGM of the Neighbourhood Forum, there was brief discussion of Old Damstone Lane. The Chair asked for anyone who had walked it over the years to let them know.
Old Damstone Lane runs from Adel Willows, parallel to the A660 then across towards Golden Acre, coming out near the pond. It dates from maps going back to 1710.
If you, or anyone you know, has walked Old Damstone Lane in the past (you cannot do it now) please email the Neighbourhood Forum at [email protected]
The reason for asking is that the Forum would like this recognised as a footpath once more and evidence is needed that it was well used in the past, but they need first hand evidence.
