I have received the update below from the senior Highways Engineer, following the contribution from Advent Homes, the developers of the Adel Square development who have paid for it in full:
"I am writing to notify you that work shall commence on Monday 28th to construct a new zebra crossing and extended footway on Sir George Martin Drive, associated with the development works off East Moor Lane.
I understand you will have been previously consulted upon this scheme, but I re-attach the General Arrangement plan for your information.
The scheme will take three weeks to construct and our contractor will operate two-way temporary traffic signals during their hours of work. Sir George Martin Drive will be closed Sunday 17th November to allow for carriageway resurfacing and for the introduction of the speed table. Signs will be installed on site to notify drivers in advance."
