As you may already be aware, this year I have chosen to support Leeds Community Foundation, who are an independent grant maker, collaborator and leader. Leeds Community Foundation work alongside the community organisations they fund to address inequalities and create opportunities. They bring together organisations and individuals to invest into local communities, building a fairer Leeds for everyone.

One Million Steps
Why not join me in the Lord Mayor’s One Million Steps walking challenge, a 100-day celebration of movement, health and wellbeing. Just One Day – 27th February 2025
‘Just One Day’ is an annual one day event where local communities, businesses and organisations are encouraged to come together and raise awareness and support fundraising for the Lord Mayor’s charity. In 2025, Just One Day is taking place on Thursday, 27th February with the theme of Play. No matter your age, everyone deserves to play – whether that’s a fancy dress day at school or work, or a games night with friends…why not take a day to play while raising funds and awareness for the Lord Mayor’s Charity Appeal.
