You may already be aware but I have now received official confirmation via the email below that the Lawnswood Arms will become a new restaurant called “Hickory’s Smokehouse” from early next year:
"Dear Councillor Anderson
May I please introduce myself as your point of contact for Hickory's Smokehouse? We are a small, British founded restaurant group based in Cheshire, with a modest number of other venues in the Midlands, the Northwest and Yorkshire.
I am very excited to report that we are planning to embark on refurbishment works to completely transform the Lawnswood Arms public house into an exciting new family friendly restaurant venue for your Ward and the surrounding area.
The work will not commence until early next year.
- As operators of high service level venues, we shall also be creating a good number of full and part time jobs; and we always prefer to recruit locally.
We believe that community contact is vitally important, and we are always keen to become a part of the local community wherever we go.
