Notes/Trends (in the past 3 weeks since last report):
- Burglary – 7 of the 11 burglaries recorded were attempts only. 4 were in Bramhope, 4 in Adel & 3 in Holt Park. 1 occurrence was targeting a garage, but the rest were houses. The MO is consistent across all occurrences (lock snap and/or forcing doors/windows open) and therefore, residents should be supplied with the attached crime prevention advice.
- Other Theft – Vast majority are domestic disputes & there is no threat to the wider public.
- Theft from Motor Vehicle – No clear trends in terms of time or location, or common target item.
- Theft of Motor Vehicle – Land Rover/Range Rovers are being targeted in the Adel & Wharfedale area, with 3 of the 6 involving theft of this brand of vehicle. The method of theft is unknown in the majority of these incidents, however, it is suspected that they are being taken by exploiting the keyless entry system.
