I am often contacted by residents asking why roadworks suddenly appear on a road near them with no warning. I don't always get told in advance so cannot warn people. However:

I would suggest you copy this link in to your "favourites" so you can access it in future.
Enter the street name you want in the search field at the top left. If it is a popular street name you will need to specify the area or postcode.
Then click the drop down menu beneath to read “ Next 2 weeks” . You then need to move your cursor to the part of the road you are concerned about.
You will then get various roadworks icons, click on the various icons, depending on how many there are, then go to the left of the screen to see information about the specific piece of work. It will then explain the alternative route/traffic lights that will be in operation for the period of the works.
