Following the torrential rain and the hail storm this afternoon, some of you may be suffering all sorts of problems and issues. The advice I have been given is for residents to access the Council's website on www.leeds.gov.uk and type "Flooding" in the search box. You will find a number of different links with advice and numbers to contact depending on the exact nature of the issue.
If your property is flooded out I would suggest you call 999 and ask for the Fire Service, if your house has flood water in it.
You could also as a short term measure go out and check that all the gulleys are clear in the area and all drains on your land are not blocked although I accept that the volume of water, in all probability will be greater than the capacity the drains can take, but any measure, no matter how small, can contribute in helping the immediate problem.
