A message from the Refuse Service:
Bin Collections Update
Collection crews are out doing all they can to get as many bins emptied as is safely possible in severe conditions, with treacherous ice persisting in many streets. Staff and public safety remain the priority.
If your bin collection has been missed this week due to the snow and ice, please leave your bin out until the end of Sunday 12 January and we will try our absolute best to get to it. If your scheduled collection has been missed, extra waste will be taken if it is left in a securely tied bag by the bin.
If your bin has not been collected by Sunday 12 January, it should be taken back in until the next scheduled collection day.
Also, the 8 citywide Household Waste and Recycling Centres are open all day, every day and any excess waste can be taken and disposed of for free. Check your nearest one at www.leeds.gov.uk/recycling
We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your support and patience.
