I noticed on Sunday whilst in the area, that Arthington Lane on the stretch between The Wharfedale Pub and Tower Drive, had flooded badly. I took this up with the Council and the response from the Senior Engineer in Flood Risk Management is below:
"Good Afternoon Cllr Anderson,
I had a look at the flooding issue today. There is an old masonry culvert that runs parallel to the road at this location, it has blocked a number of times recently and we have jetted it to restore the flow, I think we are at a point now that we need to replace a section of this culvert with a new pipe.
We should be able to start this work early next week."
